    I listen to lots of different kinds of music, a lot of diverse genres and artists, and even though I'm a bit ashamed to admit this, I don't know much about genre classification (like, identificating certain types or subgenres of music). I'm trying to learn, however. Gotta do it at some point after all, right?
    So anyway, right now I'm using this page called rateyourmusic that really details genres of particular songs and albums. Based on some information gathered there, I'd say the ones I listen to the most are:

  • Indie/alternative rock.
  • Synth.
  • Progressive pop.
  • Dark cabaret.
  • Slacker rock.
  • Geek rock.
